Privacy Policy

Techlära ("we", "us", "our") is the data controller for personal data processed via techlara.se and connected services. We are a Sweden-based AI consultancy that also runs AI workshops. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What personal data we collect

  • Contact and enquiry data — name and email address when you email us or submit a contact form (sent via EmailJS).
  • Account data — email address and authentication data if you log in to a gated area of the site, handled by Firebase Authentication and stored in Firestore (Google).
  • Chatbot / AI tool inputs — if you use our chatbot or AI-powered tools (e.g. on the site or bikeparts.ai), the text or images you submit are sent to OpenAI's API to generate a response. Do not submit sensitive personal data into these tools.
  • Usage and analytics data — pages visited, device/browser information and approximate location, collected via Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and PostHog once you accept cookies.

3. Why we process your data (legal basis)

  • To respond to enquiries and provide the consulting services or workshops you request (contract / legitimate interest).
  • To manage your account and give you access to gated content (contract).
  • To operate and improve our AI tools and chatbot (contract / legitimate interest).
  • To understand how our site is used and improve it (consent, via the cookie banner).
  • To comply with legal obligations, e.g. bookkeeping (legal obligation).

4. Who we share data with
We use the following processors, each bound by their own data processing terms: Google (Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager), OpenAI (chatbot and AI-tool requests), PostHog (product analytics), EmailJS (contact form delivery). Some of these providers may process data outside the EU/EEA under appropriate safeguards (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses). We do not sell your personal data.

5. Cookies
We use a cookie consent banner on first visit. Necessary cookies keep the site functioning; analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, PostHog) are only set once you accept. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage/cookies for techlara.se and reloading the page.

6. Data retention
We keep contact enquiries and account data for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet legal (e.g. bookkeeping) requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Chatbot inputs sent to OpenAI are processed per OpenAI's own data retention policy.

7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hej@techlara.se. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

8. Children's privacy
Our services are directed at businesses and professionals, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Effective date" above reflects the latest revision.
